I have had the pleasure of working and collaborating with Jyah throughout the last five years, on projects such as brand development, business strategy & sustainability for my women’s clothing brand, Cienne. She possesses an unwavering passion and commitment in all that she does, and is a valuable thought partner and creative thinker. Together we crafted early-stage brand development for Cienne, where Jyah helped to create our internal brand identity including values, voice, and content strategy, from ideation to execution. Most recently, Jyah consulted and collaborated with myself and my team on the 2017-2018 CFDA Lexus Fashion* Initiative, a 9-month sustainable business development competition where Cienne was awarded Runner-Up. Throughout the duration of the project, we worked hand-and-hand to create a Blueprint Manual, which outlined brand-aligned social, environmental, and financial goals across every area of the business. This included supply chain mapping and optimization, business strategy, partnerships, and much more. Jyah worked tirelessly and diligently. Her research-based approach combined with her innovative ideas allowed for brand differentiation and positive social and environmental impact. Her efforts were invaluable and directly related to the success of the project.
Jyah’s tenacious spirit coupled with her poised disposition put both internal and external teams at ease during the toughest projects. She is always willing to take on new challenges and roll up her sleeves to get the job done. Jyah’s zest for life and humbled heart that constantly seeks to help others is refreshing to watch.
Jyah worked with us on brand development, partnerships, and communications, helping us to craft and execute a new, modern, exciting brand and vision. What I enjoyed most about working with Jyah was that she brings creativity and a passionate eye towards the future to the table. Jyah’s work ethic is unmatched, and her thinking was always one step ahead - unafraid to reach out with a new idea to see where it could land.
I was particularly struck by her clear capability to drive an idea forward, irregardless of the idea being her vision or that of another. Jyah took the time and attention to understand the brand we had cultivated at Lonely Whale. We were grateful for that. Through the ideation, planning, production and wrap phases she ensured core components of who we were stayed present in all that her team did, the creative capabilities and sharp executing skills of her team only complimenting that which we’d hoped to accomplish.
