Since 2014, Everywhere Except has been a strategic consultancy specializing in cultural intelligence and strategic execution.

The potential for positive change is everywhere. There is no except.

Companies and influential individuals possess outsized cultural and economic power, and are expected to be a force for good. Impact-first organizations need the wider world to enact tremendous change.

The name Everywhere Except comes from breakthrough conversations with both corporate and nonprofit leaders. Companies insisted ‘impact has nothing to do with us.’ Nonprofits said ‘we don’t need to think about attraction or cultural moments—we have good intentions.’ Both were creating artificial boundaries. In our logo, ‘except’ is written backwards because these boundaries don’t make sense.

We work with leaders who sense bigger opportunities - for their organizations, industries, and communities - but need fresh perspective to see and seize them.

My career has been spent at the intersection of culture and strategy, helping leaders build better through breakthrough thinking.

From scaling events and hotel (re)launches at Morgans Hotel Group to breaking new ground for my General Mills portfolio at Saatchi & Saatchi, reimagining legacy brands and exploring new markets for clients like Diane von Furstenberg and Dr Pepper Snapple Group at Laird+Partners - I’ve learned that breakthrough solutions often come from unexpected places.

When a sports league faced a merchandise crisis, I saw training equipment. When a 60-year-old nonprofit needed fundraising help, I saw a cultural ecosystem.

Over 11+ years building Everywhere Except, I’ve systematized this approach into Strategic Intelligence: helping leaders reframe challenges by cross-pollinating insights from outside their daily worldview.

I’m drawn to visionary leaders who sense there’s something bigger possible - they just need the right perspective to see it clearly.

Located in Long Beach’s historically under-resourced Zaferia neighborhood, we believe that culture shifts consciousness, and that access to creative space transforms the individual and builds crucial social bonds in our local and regional community.

  • Amref Health Africa is the largest Africa-based healthcare nonprofit, serving millions of people every year across 35 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. We strengthen health systems and train African health workers to respond to the continent’s most critical health challenges. Our approach is community-based and makes the people we reach partners rather than just beneficiaries. Over 97% of our global staff are Africans, so we are always tackling African challenges with African expertise.
